Come join us for a hands-on Goat Milk Soap Making Workshop taught by Kathy Gilbreath, owner of Empty Nester Farmlette, where you’ll learn the art of creating your own natural soaps using goat milk! In this workshop, you’ll discover the basics of soap-making, including how to combine ingredients safely, work with lye, and customize your soaps with scents and colors. This workshop is family-friendly though it’s recommended for older children that are able to follow directions independently due to the use of the caustic chemical sodium hydroxide (lye) in the process. You’ll leave this fun class with your very own handmade soap bars, soap making kit (included in the price of the workshop) and the knowledge to continue crafting at home. All materials will be provided—just bring your creativity!
Cost: $125 per person, includes all materials and your own soap making molds, recipes, a loaf of soap, cutter, and safety goggles.
Venmo: @Kathy-Gilbreath to reserve your spot! Space is limited. Please bring your own apron or clothes you don’t mind getting dirty in!
